Göteborg: Buttle World Champion Men

22 March 2008   -   Jeffrey Buttle (CAN) is the new World Champion Figure Skating. The Silver Medal winner of last years World Championships in Tokyo became 1st in the Overall Classification with a Total Score of 245.17 points, what was a Personal Best. He achieved this with a 1st place on the Short Program with 82.10 points and a 1st place in the Free Skating with 163.07 points, what also was a Personal Best.
   
    The 2nd place was for Brian Joubert (FRA), who was last years World Champion in Tokyo. He achieved a Total Score of 231.22 points. The French National Champion became 6th with his Short Program with 77.75 points, but came back with a very good Free Skating with 153.47 points, what was good for a 2nd place.
   
    The bronze medal was for Johnny Weir (USA), who was on place 8 in the Overall Classification of last years World Championships in Tokyo. He achieved a Total Score of 221.84 points. He became 2nd in the Short Program with 221.84 points and 5th in the Free Skating with 141.05 points.
